Really fun ice cream place right in the middle of Hollywood Blvd with all the crazy mix of people. People that worked there were super nice and patient since it was our first visit. I got a Nutella Ferrero milkshake while my son got an Oreo cone. They make the cone fresh right in front of you. Both were really good. The vibe inside is fun and bright.
I visited Holloywood last weekend and tried this place. They make the chimney cake cone fresh to order, and used them as ice cream cones. The chimney cake itself was fantastic- fresh, soft and with the perfect level of sweetness. We got the smores ice cream. It was very fun to watch them to make the smores and the chimney cake and taste so good!
We also got their strawberry banana crepes, also cooked fresh to order and it’s filled with freshly cute fruit, drizzled with chocalate sauce. Both desserts are 10/10. The prices are reasonable, especially this is in Hollywood and they use healthy ingredients like grass-fed milk. It’s definitely worth it.
The shop is right on famous Hollywood Blvd, prepare extra time to find parking, street parking or parking lots. I will definitely come back for their dessert next time when I visit Hollywood. They also have some good none-dairy treats that look really refreshing, will check it out next time.
You won’t ever have better ice cream in your life! Get the cone to their home made and amazing! I can’t wait to go back and try the crepes because they looked mouth watering.
Come with me to this cool ice cream and crepe place! I tried Strawberry banana crepes with Nutella. Crepe is made fresh with their secret in-house mix. Fruits are so good and definitely love the Nutella sauce. This store is pretty and a good stop on Hollywood Boulevard. I’ll come back to try their yummy ice creams!
Amazing confections here! There are options for crepes, milkshakes, cones, coffee with ice cream and sundaes. We ended up getting milkshakes, a double espresso with ice cream, a turtle sundae, and oreo sundae. The milkshakes are very big. The service was great and fast. The prices were what you can expect for downtown Hollywood. There isn’t any place to sit, so we ate ours while walking back to the car.
After bouldering with some friends, we decided to grab some dessert!
Walking around Hollywood Boulevard you are sure to find some tasty treats. While strolling past some famous “stars” on the ground, I was suddenly hit with the smell of delicious bread wafting through the air. Through the window I saw the churro cones being made and spinning around as they baked.
I looked at their menu and we decided to share a cone and a shake. We ordered the Ferrero Rosher shake and the Nutella Dream cone.
All their cones are coated with Nutella, so I got myself a double dose of Nutella goodness! The cone was so delicious, the cinnamon sugar on soft doughy bread coated with Nutella was a dream. Paired well with the tasty vanilla ice cream!
The Ferrero Rosher shake was fun to drink because of the little bits you get to chew on throughout the drink. But when at Turn Dough, I highly recommend ordering a delicious churro cone!
Next time I’m in the area, I think I would like to try the Coconut Raffaello~
Okay so I heard about this dramatic ice cream shop that serves their ice cream in chimney cakes right in Hollywood and I have to admit, I was pretty intrigued. So I go ahead and make my way down to Hollywood and Highland which is one of the busiest areas in Hollywood, mind you! And of course there was a line outside the door!
The place was colorful with flashy lights and just screamed FUN! so I go in and the menu is pretty vast! I ended up trying the milkshake and of course the chimney cake ice cream cones! The staff was so nice as well which is also really important! You’ll enjoy plenty of the photo opps when you visit here, but hurry before you’re ice cream melts!
Guys ! This is a yes all the way! I love soft serve ice cream and they add gold, matcha, and all these other things ! It was so delicious they make the cones out of like a cinnamon roll ! It was so delicious I will definitely be coming back again and again.
The shakes are really good and the soft serve is always a good base to please everyone…
I chose the Resse’s ice cream it was so good without being overly sweet. The churro cone made it so tasty to bite into when finishing, I paid $13 which is pretty much what I would pay for Rolled ice cream handmade as well so I was happy and you’re paying for quality!
Also, the music playing while waiting was very catchy and chill.
Some say ice cream is only for the summer. We strongly disagree. Ice cream is a year-round treat. And rightly so. They are purely irresistible . We recently tried Turn Dough near Hollywood & Highland. Their chimney cakes are served with ice creams and topped with all kinds of decorations . With over 50 different combinations, you can build your own cone or get one of the premade combinations. There is no wrong selection here. Make sure you give this LA first chimney cake store some love.
This spot is a must! If you’re around Hollywood (Chinese / Dolby Theatre) you should check this place out!
They make this unique dessert that’s visually pleasing and definitely yummy too! They don’t hold back with the way they build your ice cream. They have these dough “cones” that cooks while turning in an oven hence the name, “turn dough” The price is about $12, you might think it’s pricey, but it’s like a treat you can get in a theme park, and they’re around a tourist spot so it only makes sense.
Parking might be a little challenging but around the blocks in the area there are metered parking. I will definitely be back and try other flavors!
This place has so many options and the aesthetic is so cute! We tried the Minnie Macarons and the Honey Pistachio cone. The best part was that the churro/chimney cone was still warm and tasted perfect with the cold ice cream! You can see the staff making them in store. The staff was super friendly and the service was fast despite it being quite busy. It’s a perfect place to stop by during the summer when you are visiting Hollywood.
Spending some time on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? Then make sure you stop by Turn Dough! It’ll help you cool down from the heat or help with letting you try something that you can’t normally get easily. It’ll make your day just that much more memorable, if you ask me!
I loved being able to see them make my cone from dough one minute then the next it was a cone. Like I mentioned, the cone is freshly made so its very hot and so when they add in the soft serve and decorate it, it’ll melt a little faster than normal. But it doesn’t take away from how good the cinnamon cone/ice cream is. The milkshake was also really tasty! If you love milkshakes you won’t regret ordering one from here!
Every time I make a trip to the Los Angeles area, stopping by Turn Dough is a MUST! I live in Phoenix, so we don’t have anything like it here. The ice cream and chimney cakes are absolutely delicious. Anytime you’re on Hollywood Blvd or cruising through Venice Beach, I’d recommend you pay a visit! Such a unique place!
Cones made FRESH for every order.
We had the Oreo, the Ferrer Rocher, the brownie, and the most spectacular of all, the S’mores… a freaking MASTERPIECE!
The staff’s attention to us, and the details of our orders, were absolutely perfect.
This is worth the trip into Hollywood. Hands down!
Absolutely in love with this place! They’ve got freshly made ice cream and whip cream with excellent customer service! I got the Matcha Milkshake and Ferrero Rocher Ice Cream Cone! Both were excellent and mildly sweet which I loved! Highly recommend this place to everyone who loves a good ice cream!
Refreshing ice cream that melts in your mouth perfectly after a hot day walking through Venice. Writing this Yelp review because the staff was incredibly nice and helpful when choosing my flavor. I got the Golden touch and birthday cake!! The portions are huge so you can definitely share a specialty cone with someone AND get a milkshake (less messy). So many options to choose from so I’m definitely going back with a friend to knock out all the flavors!
This small shop is a must stop if you’re in the Hollywood Blvd area. There’s a large variety of choices of European Chimney cakes with ice cream and shakes! We were greeted with a warm welcome by founder and co-owner David. Their staff are very friendly and provide professional customer service. They also do adhere to social distancing by wearing masks and gloves. Definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking to satisfy their sweet tooth.
Great spot for ice cream, shake or a coffee. I had the Tiramisu and loved it. Great European taste, not too sweet and delicious fried dough cone. Expect a little different and enjoy! Great coffee too, I had the Americano and enjoyed it without milk! Amazing instagram spot with the wall art & awesome murals! Must see place to head to on a visit to the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
My favorite ice cream shop not just in Los Angeles. They are always so kind, friendly, and jovial when I come and I’ve been twice now to this location.
Pros:
– unique flavors
– super tasty&warm cones yummmmm
– indoor/outdoor seating
Cons:
– none??
– parking i guess?
Looking forward to a return visit 🙂
I liked this new ice cream spot in Hollywood! Everyone should stop by and check the interior and of course once you’re there – you won’t be able to resist their ice creams in freshly baked cinnamon cones. It definitely worth waiting
